Tell LEF: Reverse the wage cuts and stop layoffs!

On September 1, the Learning Enrichment Foundation (LEF) cut child care workers’ wages by $2.32/hour. Since then, parents, workers and community supporters have come together to send a strong message to LEF to reverse the wage cuts.

LEF has said in a message to parents that they are considering reversing the wage cuts. They are feeling the pressure, but we need to keep it up until the wage cut is reversed!

LEF also confirmed in a message to parents on October 24 that they are making changes to their staffing model. This is a major concern. We are calling on LEF to avoid layoffs.

In the face of wage cuts and layoffs, workers are coming together and calling for respect. As parents and community members, we support them! We know that decent working conditions for them are the foundation of quality care for our kids.
