Support workers! Keep the TTC Public!
TTC workers - members of ATU Local 113 - are fighting for good jobs, better staffing and better TTC services.
The TTC needs an additional $2.4 billion each year to stay in a state of good repair. Staff warn that TTC service levels will decline without more investment. For years, federal and provincial governments have failed to invest in public transportation, and as a result, fares (user fees) have increased but the level of service and maintenance hasn’t improved.
It doesn’t have to be this way: all levels of government can and must do more.
A better TTC is possible, but only if riders and workers fight together.
Join us on Friday, May 31 between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm at a TTC station for a city-wide outreach blitz to build support for better service, better staffing and a better TTC. Register and let us know which TTC station you’ll be at on Friday!
