Picket line visit - Support Canadian Hearing Services workers!

Join us over lunch on Friday, May 16 from 12 noon to 1:00 pm as we support workers at Canadian Hearing Services who were forced to strike for fair wages and decent work. We'll be at the picket line at 271 Spadina Road (just south of Davenport).

These workers, members of CUPE 2073, provide vital support to people who are deaf, deaf/blind & hard of hearing. It's outrageous that Canadian Hearing Services CEO Julia Dumanian gave herself a 122% wage increase, while the workers have been struggling with a 16% CUT in real wages.

Because wages are so low, there's a staffing crisis with staff levels falling from about 500 workers in 2010 and just over 200 workers today.
