Outreach Blitz - Tariff Emergency: We need action now!

Join us from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm outside the Dufferin TTC Station (northwest corner of Bloor and Dufferin). 

We'll be talking to our neighbours about why governments at all levels must take action to protect workers and communities from the impact of tariffs and address the cost of living crisis. 

> Everyone needs at least $600 a week in income, either through EI or direct grants, and we need to fix Employment Insurance permanently.

> In addition, all levels of government must legislate:

• Rent control for all, a freeze on evictions, and real investment in high quality social housing;
• An end to price-gouging by grocery store chains;
• Adequate funding for public services (health care, child care, education, housing, transit) to make life more affordable, provide good jobs in our communities, and offset the uncertainty caused by the tariff crisis.
• Fair taxation where profitable corporations and the wealthy actually pay their fair share to support public services.
