Outreach Action - Tariff Emergency: We need action now!

Governments at all levels must take immediate action to protect workers and communities from the impact of tariffs.

Everyone needs at least $600 a week in income, and we need to fix Employment Insurance permanently so it's there when workers need it. Governments must legislate a freeze  on evictions, a freeze on increases in the cost of food and rent, and ensure permanent rent control for all tenants. We need real investment in public services (health care, housing, transit) and infrastructure to help offset job loss while also providing services that make life more affordable for all of us. Profitable corporations must pay their fair share of public services and infrastructure. We'll meet from 12 noon to 1:00 pm on the northwest corner of Bloor and Dufferin.
