Public health nurses in Hastings & Prince Edward Public Health (HPEPH) have been on strike since Monday, August 21, 2023. These are nurses that provide care to 200,000 residents in Hastings & Prince Edward counties via immunization clinics, sexual health clinics, breastfeeding consultations, harm reduction and mental health support. While providing life-saving care in our communities, they are being denied fair wages.
Join us a this phone zap to show solidarity with striking nurses. Together, we will be calling the Board of Health to demand a fair wages for nurses. This will not only send a strong message to the employer but to all the nurses in the province that decent work as a public healthcare issue.
