We have been demanding the Prime Minister implement a regularization program that will provide permanent residence to all undocumented migrants. Without action before the summer break, this promise will continue to go unfulfilled and migrants will continue to be denied basic protections at work and in our communities.
It’s not too late for Prime Minister Trudeau to do the right thing. But he needs to feel pressure to get it done now.
Emergency Actions June 23 to 25
No matter what happens in the next 48 hours, migrants and other decent work fighters like you are taking action when parliament recesses.
Actions are being organized to take place in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. Here are the details:
- Toronto: Saturday, June 24, 11:00 am at Bloor and Spadina
- Montreal: Friday, June 23, 5:30 pm at Metro Parc (click here if an announcement is made before June 23)
- Vancouver: Sunday, June 25, 10:00 am at CBC Plaza
- Shediac: Sunday, June 25, 11:00 am at Pascal Poirier Park
