March 1st: 10 Permanent Paid Sick Days Now!

Take action to demand 10 permanent employer-paid sick days. Doug Ford’s inadequate and temporary 3 COVID-sick days (Workers Income Protection Benefit) expires at the end of the month.
WIPB expects workers to use the same three days for the span of the entire pandemic. In addition, Doug Ford’s WIPB scheme has cost taxpayers $232.7 million when this should have cost us nothing. An effective paid sick day program is permanent, adequate, and employer-paid.
On March 1,we’ll be calling on the Ford government to legislate 10 permanent paid sick days immediately!
Lack of paid sick days and decent work has led to the unfolding crisis in healthcare. It’s time to say enough is enough!
Join workers across Ontario to put up posters in front of hospitals to demand paid sick days, support health workers and protect our public healthcare system. Let’s show this government that workers have had enough.
