- This month's provincial organizing meeting will have a big focus on solidarity with education workers in light of the situation facing education workers across the province. (Click here to read more about why and how to support education workers.)
- October 18 falls on the 2nd day of Fair Employment Week that has a big focus on fairness and equal pay for contract faculty in the post-secondary sector.
- October 18 is also Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day.
Clearly this is a perfect moment to build solidarity for our common struggles whether we're fighting for decent wages and a $20 minimum wage; adequate, employer-paid sick days for all; equal pay and benefits for contract, part-time, and temporary staff; or basic issues of fairness and justice at work.
The more we unite our struggles, the more likely we are to win decent work for all.
