TORONTO Solidarity Saturday: Support Education Workers
Support for education workers is widespread and it’s growing. Let's make it visible everywhere!
Justice for workers is joining the Ontario Federation of Labour for solidarity actions this Saturday, November 5 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in every community in the province.
In Toronto, meet us at Yonge-Dundas Square, 1 Dundas Street East (Click here for the map)
RSVP now to let us know you'll be standing shoulder to shoulder with education workers until they win and until we defeat Bill 28 and restore our Charter rights.
Here’s the plan:
1. Join us at Yonge-Dundas Square, 1 Dundas St E, Toronto, ON M5B 2R8 (Map)
2. Bring banners, placards, homemade signs, purple ribbons and balloons, etc.–whatever you can to show your support. You can download and print signs from our resource page here.
3. Bring an extra bag with you to take home "Paint the Province Purple" signs and purple ribbon in support of education workers - we'll have plenty to share with you.
4. During the action, we'll be inviting folks to join the fight for decent work and giving out info leaflets, chanting solidarity slogans, holding placards and banners, and more!
RSVP to let us know you're coming and see you TODAY!
